The presiding
officer of Town Meeting is the Moderator. The Moderator is elected at
Town Meeting by the legislative body. The Moderator must be a registered
voter of the town.
In Hampton,
the people listed on the right have been through Moderator Training and
have agreed to serve as Moderators of a Town Meeting should they be so
elected.
The Moderator group meets from time to
time. Such meetings are open, have a public agenda and minutes are
recorded.
