The town of Hampton is served by 4
elected local Constables and
Connecticut State Police, Troop D, in
Danielson, serving a 12 town area.

The Hampton Constables have
the power to serve and execute all lawful process legally directed to
them. Any constable, when necessary, may command any person to assist
him or her in the execution of the duties of the office. They may be
called upon to preserve the public peace within the municipality.
