By Statute, the
Probate Court is empowered with jurisdiction over a variety of family
matters including the administration of estates, the appointment of
guardians of minors, commitments of the mentally incapacitated,
appointments of conservators for the incapacitated, and the approval of
adoptions. The Court also processes applications for United States
