Founded in 1972 with the simple act of a mother publicly supporting her gay son, PFLAG is the nation's largest family and ally organization. Uniting people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) with families, friends, and allies, PFLAG is committed to advancing equality and full societal affirmation of LGBTQ people through its threefold mission of support, education, and advocacy. LGBTQ people are also welcome to attend. We are not a religious or political group. We represent people of many backgrounds, political persuasions, and faiths. PFLAG meetings are a safe place to share our experiences in small groups and support each other in the continuing process of learning, acceptance and celebration. Participants are encouraged to say what’s on their mind or can simply listen to what others have to say. We invite you to share your experience and concerns in a completely confidential and supportive environment. We encourage lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender people, parents, family and friends to attend our meetings which are held the 3rd Tuesday of each month. Find us on Facebook, or call 860.455.9149 for more information.
