Hampton Connecticut: Help Plan Its Future - DEADLINE EXTENDED

November 12th, 2015 General News

The Planning and Zoning Commission has prepared a survey for residents to complete in preparation for the Plan of Conservation and Development, a document the town is statutorily required to produce every ten years that makes recommendations for land use.

The survey asks residents to rank our town’s strengths and weaknesses and to offer their opinions on open space preservation, the promotion of agriculture and businesses, current zoning regulations, the efficacy of town facilities, and future land use.

Surveys are available at the Town Clerk’s Office during regular business hours, Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The survey can also be completed online at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/HamptonPOCD. The previous issue where only one survey could be filled out per computer has now been corrected and each household member who is at least 18 is encouraged to complete a copy.

Residents and property owners may also contact the First Selectman’s Office, (860)-455-9132, ext. 2, to request that a survey be mailed to them. The survey deadline has been extended to Tuesday, December 1st.
